Quality Engineering Solutions, Inc. (QES) was awarded the honor for the second year in a row to appear on the 2009 Inc. 5000's annual listing of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. In 2008, QES was thrilled to received the prestigious Top 50 Inc. 500/5000 Companies By Industry award for Engineering, making the coveted list at number 43 on Inc.com for generating $3.4 million in revenue and having a growth rate of 129.0%.

Best 50 Women Award

In 2006, our President, Sherry Morian, received the prestigious award for being one of the top 50 women in business, as published in Pennsylvania Business Central. She was selected by an independent panel of judges who selected the top 50 candidates based on dedication to business growth, professional and personal accomplishments, community involvement, and advocacy for women in business.

On March 23, 2006, Pennsylvania Governor, Edward G. Rendell, announced the awards, saying that, "This year's recipients are helping to drive the state's economy forward and create new opportunities..." Certificate of Acheivement

Our President, Sherry Morian, serves as the Membership Chairperson on the Transportation Research Board (TRB) AFH80 Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) committee. This committee exists to serve as an open forum for all parties involved in Disadvantaged Business Enterprise/Women's Business Enterprise/Minority Business Enterprise (DBE/WBE/MBE) issues in transportation and to promote transportation innovation and progress by seeking and disseminating information on successful and beneficial strategies associated with administration, implementation, and achieving the objectives of DBE/WBE/MBE programs.

Based on her active involvement with the TRB, Ms. Morian was proud to be awarded a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of Outstanding Service as Chair Committee on Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) 1999-2004 and as a Member Construction Section 2003-2005.

Employer of the Year Award

QES was proud to be named 2005 Employer of the Year for Significant Partnership with the Crawford County, PA CareerLink. The Pennsylvania CareerLink is a collaborative project between multiple agencies and is operated under the direction of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. CareerLink provides career services to Pennsylvania employers, potential employees, and others. They offer an array of services on-site with staff from various state, federal, non-profit and other partner agencies. As employment and training experts, CareerLink works with Economic Development, the local Chambers of Commerce, area schools, and community agencies to help provide solutions to meet Pennsylvania's workforce development and staffing needs.

LTPP Award

In 1998, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the Long-Term Pavement Performance (LTPP) program, and the Transportation and Development Institute (T&DI) of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) initiated a program to organize an international contest on the use of LTPP pavement performance data. The competition is designed to promote the use of LTPP data and involve students, academicians, and pavement engineers in the analysis of data from the LTPP database.

In 2003-2004, our Director of Engineering, Dennis Morian, was proud to be one of six to win this contest taking first place in the category of partnership for the Study of Long-Term Pavement Performance (LTPP): Pavement Deflections. Experts from academia, industry, and highway agencies reviewed the papers submitted for the 2003-2004 contest and gave awards for the best paper in each category.
