Text Box: Project Summary:  Conducted an evaluation of pavement conditions on three major interstate routes for private maintenance contracts.  Incorporation into asset management database and development of a pavement preservation program.  The program included planning estimates, design details, and construction quality assurance support.
QES performed field evaluation, testing and data analysis and recommendations for the preservation of 250 miles of Interstate highway pavements in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  The work included coring, distress evaluation, analysis of FWD and profile data.  Tests were conducted for asphalt pavement stripping and recommendations provided for pavement repair.
Information supplied to VM S asset management database was used to develop a pavement preservation program.  Pavement designs were developed on the basis of field evaluation and testing.  Work included the development of plans, specifications and estimates for construction as well as consultation during construction.
