Text Box: Project Summary: QES is the primary subcontractor to Penn State University for the collection of pavement performance data for selected Superpave study sections throughout Pennsylvania. QES personnel were involved in development of the instrumentation and data collection plans for the project. The plans included selection of data types required for analysis, including traffic, weather, load response, pavement temperature, moisture and performance monitoring including distress, deflection, and roughness. This included development of replicate instrumentation and test sections to assure long term pavement response information will be available. QES has primary responsibility for seasonal and traffic data collection, traffic control and project coordination at multiple sites and participation in the instrumentation of multiple sites.
