Text Box: Project Specifics: Text Box: Office Locations: Text Box: Technical Software Evaluation Text Box: As part of the Concrete Pavement Technology Program (CPTP) several software-based technology products were developed. On such product is Aurora 2000, a pavement systems analysis tool. This software has capabilities of conducting performance analysis of both rigid and flexible pavements. In order to provide effective product implementation, an independent evaluation of the software and it’s three derivative products was needed. FHWA chose the highly qualified, and well rounded QES project team to complete this independent review. QES staff, in conjunction with four highly qualified consultants, reviewed over forty models and their integration into the program. Our review included an assessment and recommendations for improvement to; 1) constituent pavement models utilized, 2) integration of utilized models, 3) utility/functionality of the software, and 4) user documentation.
