Work included coring, FWD testing, Dynamic Cone Penetrometer testing, material sampling, laboratory analysis of existing asphalt pavement, subbase, and subgrade materials. Information was developed as the basis for re-design of the facility pavement. All work was combined into a proper database and included in the pavement analysis report for the project. Continuing work includes the development of pavement design sections, specifications and monitoring pavement construction activities as the owner’s representative. QES involvement with the construction quality assurance is part of the overall approach to the project design.
