Text Box: Project Specifics: Text Box: Pavement Management Text Box: Project Summary: QES provided PAVER pavement performance data from seven airfield facilities in five states to the CERL staff by collecting and evaluating distress and roughness information utilizing state of the art digital imaging techniques and equipment. The project database, summary results and raw data were all delivered to CERL. Coordination was carried out with the staff of each facility independently and with CERL staff. The automated equipment utilized incorporated several electronic devices such as a distance measuring device, digital imaging camera and associated computers, laser profiling device and computers, and test vehicle. In addition to QES in-house quality control review of data, the information provided was approved by CERL staff based on a quality assurance field survey of a sampling of pavement sections. As a result of this work, QES has been pre-approved by CERL to conduct further surveys utilizing the automated systems.
